Dr. Marco Davila is a leading researcher and physician specializing in gene-engineered cell therapies for cancer treatment. He currently serves as the Rustum Family Endowed Chair in Translational Research and Senior Vice President at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Davila earned his MD and PhD from Duke University School of Medicine. His postgraduate training includes a residency at New York Presbyterian Weill/Cornell and fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Throughout his career, Dr. Davila has held positions at prestigious institutions such as Memorial Sloan Kettering, Vanderbilt University, and H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, where he was Medical Director of the Cell Therapy Facility from 2016 to 2022.
His research focuses on developing innovative cell therapies targeting cancer cells in pre-clinical models, aiming to translate these findings into clinical trials. Dr. Davila’s work bridges laboratory discoveries with clinical applications, reflecting his commitment to translational research.
